If you are boarding a cab service from Srinagar, then it will be a great trip for you. The distance to Leh is around 420 kilometers. And it will be a long tour which could be extended to 10 days or so. Once you get accustomed and reach Kargil, you can check in at your hotel and get prepared for the rest of the journey. Then you can sleep and refresh your memories.

On the second day, post your meals, and you will proceed to Lamayuru. You can visit Basgo Palace, and Lamayuru Monastery on your way. These places are significant places in that region. Then you can proceed to Pangong lake by bike. Bike riding should be very important on this trip. Pangong lake is located at the highest altitude in this region. Then you can head to Chang La Pass. There are a lot of campsites where you can stay and spend the rest of the day and night.

The fifth day will be very important. You can see the exotic scenery via Khardungla which is called the highest motorable road in the world. You can also en route to Diskit Monastery. You can also visit another high-altitude pass, Tanglang La. Then you can head towards Sarchu. Beauty and scenery are the two sides of the coin in these hilly regions.
